Ultrasound

 

Abdominal, Gallbladder, Kidney: Abdominal ultrasound is performed to evaluate the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, aorta, and other abdominal blood vessels. Common indications for abdominal ultrasound include abnormal liver function, abdominal pain, gall stones, kidney stones, and aortic aneurysm.  Click here for more information.

Obstetric: OB ultrasound is used to confirm location (intrauterine or ectopic) of a pregnancy, estimate the age of the pregnancy, evaluate fetal anatomy, assess fetal growth, and assess fetal well-being.  Click here for more information.

Pelvic: Pelvic ultrasound is generally performed to evaluate the uterus and ovaries. Common reasons for the exam include pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding and to evaluate pelvic masses. Click here for more information.

Breast: Breast ultrasound is mainly used to characterize potential abnormalities seen on mammography or detected on physical exam. Ultrasound can determine if a mass is a cyst or solid.  Click here for more information.
